Effective from 4 November 2025
Please refer to Thai Customs Department Notifications No. 93/2568 and 197/2568 (No. 2) for full details on the rules and customs procedures for granting duty exemption/reduction for goods originating in Japan under the Japan–Thailand Economic Partnership Agreement (JTEPA).
Customs procedures when using an electronic Certificate of Origin (e‑CO)
- Importers must check the e‑CO status via the “NSW e‑Tracking” system (application / web browser).
- If the status “RES” appears, it means the e‑CO data has been sent and successfully received in the Thai Customs system.
- Prepare the import declaration by entering the e‑CO number and date and selecting the preferential scheme code: JE, J2E, or J3E.
- Importers do not need to upload a CO PDF to the Customs computer system and do not need to present a paper CO. Thai Customs will grant the preferential duty based on the e‑CO.
